Satellite Program

The Independent Study Program (ISP) has been the commonly used term for home school programs in California. Recently, the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) and the California Home Educators Association (CHEA) have advised that Independent Study Programs that have filed affidavits with the state should now use the legal terminology .Satellite School., rather then Independent Study Program (ISP). Therefore, Grace Christian Schools is now known as a Satellite Program for home schooled students.

The advantage to home school families is that they do not have to file an affidavit with the state but instead come under the umbrella of the Satellite Program in which they are affiliated. The Satellite Program keeps student records, curriculum, grades, attendance, fees, and other files in a central location.

Grace Christian Schools is a private non profit corporation sponsored by Mission Valley Christian Fellowship; therefore the records and files of each student are not accessible without the consent of the parents or legal guardians of each student.
