Please review the article entitled Summary of Minor’s Work Regulations.
Permits are issued by the local public school districts. We issue Requests for a Work Permit. We issue work permits only for students enrolled in Grace Christian Schools.
There are local, state and federal regulations governing work permits.
Students should apply for the position, interview, and when hired, contact the GCS office for the Request for Work Permit forms.
GCS will issue the 3-part form which requires three signatures.
The student will take the form to the employer who will complete the Statement of Employer portion of the form (Part 1). Please make sure that the hours/days that the student will be working as well as the wages per hour and the signature of the employer are filled in completely.
The parents/guardians of the student are required to sign the Request for Work Permit Form.
Lastly, the student will return the 3-part form to the office. GCS staff will sign the form and release the pink portion to the student. The pink form is a temporary work permit. The student should return the pink form to their employer.
GCS staff will mail the remaining forms to the Work Permit office. The Work Permit office will mail an official work permit to the student’s employer.
Student and Parents must sign and agree to the Grace Christian Schools Work Permit agreement.
